Advanced Paving Technologies presents our advanced road paving system. Instead of a single flat screed that is used by all current asphalt pavers, a multi-segmented screed is utilized which allows asphalt material to be incrementally delivered across the width of the surface to be paved. By compensating for localized surface variations in this manner a road is paved in a single pass with minimal surface preparation and without milling and reprocessing the entire road surface. This new capability will allow us to build a road better, faster and cheaper that lasts longer and reduces the carbon output of the project. Additional benefits to the public and private sectors will be realized by reducing construction related traffic congestion, which will increase gas mileage as well as improve productivity and the quality of life for all.
