Five years later, to celebrate Super Mario Bros.' 40th anniversary, a game called "Super Mario Galaxy 1+2" was released alongside the name drop of the second Mario movie, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie." The bundle was released on October 2, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch II, and included some minor graphical changes.
