Baldie moves out of Hubballi with Amaravati Express

19/6/2022, 12:39:06 18048 VSG-SHM Amaravati Express curves towards Gadag after departing Hubballi Junction/UBL dot on time with Gooty WDG-3A Twins led by 14571, the only Baldie on mainline service in South India. The trailing loco, 14552R, is an ex-Baldie. The line near me is the Bengaluru line, on which within 5 minutes, the 12079 Jan Shatabdi showed up. Since I was anyway going to go back in it when it would become 12080 after undergoing loco reversal(and change) at UBL, I hopped into it and got a free ride, crossing 11021 Chalukya Express in the process. The EMD humming in the background is BGKT WDP-4D 40098, shunting spare LHB coaches on the line adjacent to Amaravati's line. Distant honks can also be heard from the many EMDs that are always present at UBL, the parent EMD shed in the country.
