Sometimes we must modify a pose - whether due to injury, tightness, weakness, body changes - these are not really vulnerabilities! These are obstacles that we are meant to overcome with a clear mind. These obstacles can disturb our mental clarity if we allow them to. We can end up striving, denying, forcing, not allowing our body to adapt and find 'steadiness AND ease'. When we come across these obstacles, they are an opportunity for us to test our mental steadiness, mindfulness and deep listening. This Ashtanga half-lotus pose needs to be approached with this mental clarity. In this short video I've given one example of a variation. By the way, don't hesitate to use a block under the knee! If you have any requests for variations of poses or questions you'd like me to answer...let me know...love to be inspired by your questions! @ashtangayogaparis Follow me on IG / linda.munro.yoga If you feel inclined to buy us a Chai to support our channel, we'd be grateful.
