LG Gas Stove / Oven / Range Knobs - A Cheap and Easy Repair If Gas Turns On Too Easily

On many LG gas stoves the knobs feel loose and do not provide enough push-back resistance so it's very easy to brush by the stove and inadvertently turn on the gas. Here's an easy fix that anyone can make for about $2.00. This is not an LG approved repair and I can't ensure that it will work for you, but it made the knobs on my stove much more resistant to turning on by mistake and we no longer turn on the gas inadvertently. According to others, this fix also works on Whirlpool gas ovens / stoves/ ranges and other brands with a similar problem.
