Kenyans are voting in the first general election since the disputed contest of December 2007 that was followed by deadly violence. Queues started to form early outside polling stations. Kenyans are electing a new president, members of parliament and senators, county governors and members of 47 county assemblies. Malik Obama, Barack Obama's half-brother, is running for governor. Despite appeals for calm, at least a dozen people, including five police officers, are said to have been killed in clashes near Mombasa.
