In these final chapter Amecia, Sofia, Lucas, Hugo and Arnaud have escaped the island. However, the Count and his men have proved to be determined and deranged in fabricating a story to capture Hugo as his Son. Thus maintaining his derangement the Count attempts to use Stockholm Syndrome to make Hugo his weapon. This does not come into fruition as the Count does not realize the consequences of his actions for him and the rest of the world.
