Coronavirus: "Can’t rule out" second wave of COVID-19, says Canadian health minister

Canadian Health Minister Patty Hajdu said Tuesday that a second wave of COVID-19 can’t be ruled out amid rising case levels across Canada. However, she said it’s too early to speculate whether the country is already in the midst of a second wave and that the government is working on preparing the country, using a “rapid response system” for communities experiencing an outbreak. She said such a response could involve tools like isolation housing, expert epidemiologists or additional contact-tracing capacity “in a variety of languages.” Hajdu also said she wouldn’t rule out another full economic shut down if Canada is hit with a second wave of COVID-19, but acknowledged that such an action “would be very difficult” for the country. She said the government has learned a lot, and is more prepared going into the “next stage.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/7335563/ju...
