What happens when the Democrats "Have the TAXPAYERs Backs"!

The granite walls of Colorado State Capitol building were covered in graffiti on Thursday, July 16, 2020. But any attempts at cleanup have been slow going, in part because the Democratically controlled city & state officials figured there was little point until the recurring vandalism ended. WTF!!!!! ****( Of course, the thought never crossed their minds that this was a Public Building, paid for by the taxpayers of the state, which they had a sworn responsibility to protect. In late June, protesters toppled a statue of a Union soldier atop a UNION Civil War monument in front of the Capitol . Days later, others set a fire atop the pedestal of the graffiti-covered monument. Recent nights have seen less activity on the grounds, which Colorado State Patrol monitors around the clock but has been unable to protect from vandalism. Workers are testing different methods of graffiti removal on the stonework, he said, calling the scope of the vandalism unprecedented — far beyond the occasional tagging that occurred during the Occupy Denver protests in 2011 and 2012. “The granite is somewhat porous, so depending on what was used to paint the building … we have to evaluate the best process. It’s not the kind of thing where you can just come with a wire brush and scrape it off, because that will damage the finish or the granite itself.” Late last month, a Denver city spokesperson said vandalism to city-owned property across Civic Center during the protests was estimated at just over $1 million. After watching the Colorado State Capitol trashed by vandals for nearly two months, it's time for we taxpayers to tell Gov. Jared Polis the Capitol deserves to be defended. This building represents all of us. This is really the emblem of our democracy. This is the “People’s House,” and to attack this is to attack us all!!! If there is a will to protect this building and this space, there are the means to do so including the National Guard. Otherwise, the estimated million dollars will be,...... just wasted.” So far, only one person has been arrested. Denver police say Bradley Mashino was charged by the City Attorney’s Office with petty theft, destruction of property and resisting arrest for damaging a flagpole and stealing flags at the Capitol. When will the governor and the mayor, the district attorney and the attorney general make this a priority so the taxpayers don’t have to spend another several million?” It's obvious that law breaking protesters have been empowered when they see their messages stay up for 45-50 days. That’s exactly what they want to see happen and they will do it again until they’re stopped. Workers have removed graffiti the night before only to see it return the next day. One person even wrote, “We won’t stop.” Again,......Governor Polis continues to state he is outraged by the graffiti on the capitol and believes it is unacceptable and that those responsible should be held accountable under the law. Well,...why did he not employ the force necessary to stop the vandalism in the 1st place? You can bet, if a bunch of protesters charged his domicile or Democratic Party HQ, and began the same vandalism, they'd be delt with Pronto! But, there has been little talk of stationing law enforcement around the capitol. Officials said they are worried that if they do, vandalism will turn to violence. ***Enter the National Guard because if they don't get serious about vandalism & Social Discord, the destruction will continue.
