The heart doesn’t deal in logic. It doesn’t weigh pros and cons, doesn’t calculate risks, doesn’t operate on certainty. It moves by instinct, in quiet pulls, in feelings that don’t always make sense. We can ask the universe for all the signs in the world, but ultimately, we only see the ones we want to see. Maybe the heart isn’t irrational, maybe it’s just speaking a language the mind isn’t trained to understand. Because deep down, the heart knows us in ways the mind never will. It carries the quiet memories of what has lifted us and what has broken us. It remembers the places where we felt safe, the people who made us feel seen, the moments that cracked something open inside us. It senses patterns before we recognize them, nudging us toward what will nourish us and away from what will leave us empty. The mind can rationalize anything, talk us into or out of what makes sense, but the heart? The heart simply knows. I believe the heart holds a wisdom that facts and figures can’t always measure. Just because something looks perfect on paper doesn’t mean it’s right for you. Some trees grow strongest not in the softest soil, but in the most unexpected conditions, rooted deep in gravel, clinging to the edges of cliffs, bending with the wind yet never breaking. Maybe the heart knows something we don’t. Maybe the real work isn’t in figuring everything out but in learning to trust it.
