NEW GOPRO MEDIA MOD | HERO 8 | FIRST THOUGHTS AND SOUND TEST
When I got hold of the latest GoPro Hero 8 in November 2019, GoPro also announced the 'GoPro Media Mod' which would remove the need to have a separate mic adaptor, have its own built in bi-directional mic, and make charging much easier. It also has two shoes for upcoming add-ons and it's an overall neat package. After a two month wait, GoPro sent me my Media Mod in late January 2020 so I took it out for a first test in this video. The video also compares sound to my more traditional Rode Video Mic.
