Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) affects Black women twice as much as non-hispanic white women. TNBC is an aggressive cancer that is typically not treated like other subtypes of breast cancer. Dr. Vivian Bea, Chief of Breast Surgical Oncology at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and Dr. Evelyn Taiwo, Breast Oncologist at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, will discuss treatment options to inform patients, family and friends. You don’t have to have a diagnosis of TNBC to learn about the disease. Your knowledge could someday help yourself or others who may be diagnosed with TNBC.
