(31 May 2014) Around 300 people lined up at a festival in Mexico City on Friday to have their bodies transformed into works of art. They stripped down to their underwear so artists could use their skin as a canvas. This year's International Fonambules Body Paint Festival focused on language motifs. Artists were challenged to depict the different ways in which humans communicate. None of those who volunteered to have their skin painted were professional models. Event organisers said their aim was to break the taboos and stigmas around naked bodies. The festival is in its seventh year.
