In August of 2010, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin made Anna's dream to meet the Green Bay Packers and their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, come true. Her wish experience was featured on ESPN as a part of their "My Wish" series, and was seen by millions of viewers on "Monday Night Football." Anna is a 12-year-old from Horicon Wisconsin who faced a life-threatening heart condition that cause a stroke and brain hemorrhage. After a successful heart transplant surgery, Anna still needed to relearn how to walk and talk. Her love of the Packers helped her through the difficult rehabilitation process, and she dreamt of someday going to Lambeau Field to see the team in action. Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
