AVOID taxi trips (see below), book separately, Floating Markets and Train market: Bangkok, Thailand

Travelling the world as a family: Floating markets and train markets outside of Bangkok. We booked a taxi trip from our hotel for the whole day for around 1800Baht (£42). The driver took us to a floating market stop (straight there so knew the place well). We paid for a trip for a 1 hour tour (2000Baht an adult and 1000Baht a child) we haggled them down to 5000Baht total which we thought was a fair price and ended up on the boat for 3 hours (NEVER BUY THE LONG TRIP AS YOU WILL END UP DOING IT ANYWAY!!!). The tour boat kept stopping at all the expensive markets and trying to get us to see MORE temples. Market prices here can be up to 8 TIMES more expensive than in central Bangkok so avoid buying gifts!!! We found out from a couple we met (lovely American couple) that they paid 2000Baht for the floating market tour by motorless boat so definitely do you homework and you will save £££££££££!!!!! We then went to the train market (GO EARLY as we caught the last train and the market was empty and mostly closed up!) What a day is was though, so much so that the little one (Anabelle) feel asleep on the longtail right near the engine hahaha!!!
