Barcelona & Spanish wunderkind Pedri came off at halftime vs Eintrach Frankfurt and could be seen grabbing at his left hamstring. The club confirmed the hamstring discomfort and that further tests are pending. Severity & Timeline Pedri’s timeline will depend on severity & location of the injury. If it’s just discomfort, he’ll be day to day. If it’s a grade 1, that averages 1-2 weeks. A grade 2 averages 3-4 weeks. In either of these cases, the closer the tear is to the tendons, the longer the timeline tends to be. Lastly, if it’s a grade 3 rupture, that averages 6+ weeks depending on if surgery is needed or not. Additionally, when Pedri does get back, his reinjury risk will be high as hamstrings are notoriously sensitive. I’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
