CHATTANOOGA CHOO CHOO - 24K Gold Music - ANDREWS SISTERS Tribute Set - COVER - Glen Miller 1940s

Welcome to 24K Gold Music Shows! 24K Gold Music Shows performs a classic, musical tribute to the iconic female singing group, The Andrews Sisters. Pair Glen Miller’s hugely successful song ‘Chattanooga Choo Choo’ with the Andrew Sisters’ during a time when “America’s Wartime Sweethearts” were at their peak and you get a true American classic. The Andrew Sisters’ voluntarily performed for their fellow servicemen from 1941-1945 to boost the morale of troops in training to head off to war. In the summer 1945, they performed an eight week overseas USO tour. LaVerne was the oldest sister, the quiet one, who had an eye for fashion. Maxene, the middle sister, handled the business side of things. Patti, the youngest, was the energetic and outgoing lead singer. The girls sang with the tightest harmonies imaginable. They started their career on vaudeville. When the vaudeville era was coming to a close they made the transition to radio with ease. They were featured on Glen Miller’s radio show but because of their stage background they danced when they sang. Their dance moves were graceful and flawless. Many attributed their skills to the fact they had a unique kind of sisterly instinct and were very in tune to each other on stage.
