In a bowl of milk add lemon juice and leave for 10 minutes to curdle to form buttermilk. 2. Then in a bowl add melted butter and powdered sugar and mix well. 3. Then add buttermilk and mix well. 4. Then add maida in regular quantities and mix well until a smooth batter. 5. Then add baking powder, baking soda and vanilla essence and mix well. 6. In a cooker add salt in the bottom and place idli tawa and close the lid without gasket and whistle and pre heat for few minutes. 7. Then in paper cups spread butter on all sides and transfer the batter into them. 8. Place these in the cooker and cover and cook for 20 minutes. 9. When the cake is ready you can check by poking with a tooth pick.
