So in short: level cool but hard, me bad, therefore experience bad This level is the most difficult thing I have ever tried to learn or do. I probably have spent an upwards of 30k attempts just to get the bare bones of a click pattern. The rest was to build consistency and play from 0%, which turned out to be an equally daunting task from several chokepoints (more on that later). Playing from start positions, this level is actually very close to 10/10 enjoyment. Nerves are a completely absent factor, so I can appreciate how well the overall gameplay is developed. The gameplay flows very well together and deviates away from the standard straight fly spam or wave slop gameplay. Every part, except 58-65%, is always a blast to play. Though the 2.2 update did break one click to my knowledge. At 51.9% for example, there is an invisible platform on top with D blocks that, for reasons beyond me, sometimes lets your wave hitbox phase through on top of it. Once that happens you cannot save yourself and you die to the slope. This level became one of the most mentally agonizing experiences ever when I played from 0. I'd like to preemptively say that the worst clicks/chokepoints are most likely from me being extremely underprepared and are not necessarily the level’s flaw, so don't let my experience deter you if you want to go for it. The predrop always remained an inconsistent mess of clicks, the first notable one being the 7.22% ship. In only the last 2 weeks I went from doing 3 clicks there instead of 4, which somehow improved the pass rate dramatically but I still often died to it. The next, and top contender for the worst click in this level, is the 13.5% green orb. I cannot stand those coin slot RNG timings. Doesn't help either that the amount of time you hold the dash orb before it is very deterministic of whether you pass it or not. It always felt like a gut punch to die there, especially with it being the last click before the drop. Going well into the drop, the 3 wave clicks at 30.5% are literally free, but never got consistent since upwards spamming is just overall very uncomfortable. The 3 wave clicks at 36% is a massive choke point because they require near micro clicks and are not synced to the song’s beats. The green orb transition into the ship at 47% is another lovely lottery click, being a very tight middle timing. Even after clearing that, there is a low chance of dying to the upper spikes because of a bad entry. The second to last wave click at 51% is in and of itself a horrendous hold and release timing, but is made so much worse because of the 2.2 bug I explained earlier. To avoid it you have to release as early as possible without touching the invisible upper platform, while also avoiding crashing into the left slope. The next series of choke clicks from 63 to 65% are very deceiving. One is a generic straight fly, and the other are two free wave clicks with infinite space I mean just look at it dude. They are set up in such an awkward manner though, ending over half of my runs. The level becomes reasonably bearable all the way up until the holding section after the green orb ship click at 93%. Holding for the perfect amount of time and releasing is essentially a dice roll. Lastly, who could forget about the last green orb click. Apparently it is one of the only 60FPS frame perfects in this level. Yes, FP’s are not everything, but the white flash and random teleport portal combination adds salt and ice to the wound that no one asked for. It's a miracle that I did not die to it from 0% because from start positions it eliminated an uncomfortably large portion of my runs. The last few days of trying to beat this level were hopeless at the very best. I did manage some insane runs, getting 16-100% three times. That didn’t matter at all though since that consistency miraculously disappears when playing from 0%. Even having gotten 92 and 94%, I was just convinced they were flukes. It all felt like the most brutal game of statistics ever, waiting for the stars to align. I'm very proud of this achievement nonetheless, and I'll be sleeping good for the next few weeks 🙏 #geometrydash #gd #wasureta #extremedemon
