বাঙালির প্রিয় খিচুড়ি || Special Bhuna Khichuri Recipe

বাঙালির প্রিয় খিচুড়ি || Special Bhuna Khichuri Recipe This is my favorite recipe for making the perfect bhuna khichuri. You can eat khichuri for breakfast, lunch or dinner, on a rainy day, on a winter day, when you are not feeling well, when you are feeling homesick , on a festive meal, anytime ! Khichuri is a comfort meal loved by anyone in the subcontinent. It was invented in the kitchen of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. It was considered as a meal of accomplishment, good news. It is a nutritious mixture of rice and dal ( lentils). There are so many variations of Khichuri! In this episode, I tried to make the basic version of Bhuna Khichuri that I love. I hope you give it a try and love it too! You can serve khichuri with your favorite pickle, bhorta, eggs, salad, curries, fritters, fish fry or by itself with some ghee on top. It is heavenly and will comfort you every time. I also love the liquid and soft version of khichuri which we call Latka / Gila Khichuri. I will show how to make that in another episode. You can throw your choice of vegetables in the khichuri mix and you will get your vegetable khichuri. It is almost like a porridge from another culture.
