Joseph Smith's Personality and Character Lecture 3 Part 3

This is the third lecture from a series of lectures called "Joseph Smith The Prophet" taught by Dr. Truman G. Madsen. This lecture focuses on the personality and character of Joseph Smith Jr., Mormon Prophet, who was lead by God to restore The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, and was later martyred in June 27, 1844 (age 38). It's about 50 min. long, which I have broken down into parts, and is well worth your time and enjoyment. Whether you believe Joseph Smith or not, whether you think he was a fraud or a true prophet of God, Joseph was truly a remarkable, amazing man and friend. Dr. Truman G. Madsen received his Ph. D. at Harvard University focusing on philosophy. Dr. Truman G. Madsen was a man able to connect with his audience and tell amazing stories, as well as being known by many titles including lecturer, historian, philosopher, director in Jerusalem, author, and professor of religion and philosophy at BYU. Madsen died at his home on the morning of 28 May 2009 from bone cancer at the age of 82. www.mormon.org DISCLAIMER!: This video does not necessarily represent the official view of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
