This is a video I made celebrating Sonic's 25th anniversary (which was a last month ago). A video presentation showing the 25 years that Sonic has been in gaming. I worked hard on this video, so I hope that you enjoy it! l might've made it late because l was too busy. But enjoy. This is a big year for game series birthdays, as the blue hedgehog known as Sonic is actually turning 25. To celebrate, get ready to clap your peepers on a retro-inspired comic book called “Sonic: Mega Drive.” It’s nice to see Sega pouring so much love into Sonic’s 25th birthday, but they probably felt it was a necessity after seeing Nintendo’s plans for Pokemon. Those pocket monsters are only turning 20 and they’re getting new games, 3DS bundles, a mobile app, new toys, a movie and more. Can you imagine being Sega, looking over at Sonic and trying to explain why his birthday was going to be low key? Maybe this will start a sort of parental showboating rivalry, with Nintendo and Sega trying to one-up each other’s celebrations. Nintendo gets a magician for Pokemon’s party, so Sega brings out a petting zoo. If nothing else, this news should make anyone who remembers a gaming world before Sonic feel nice and old…Or is that just me. Anyway, let us know how you plan on celebrating Sonic’s 25th birthday in the comments section below. Feel free to share a favorite Sonic-related memory or talk about the first time you played a game featuring the spinning critter. Also, anything in particular you’re hoping to see come out of this momentous occasion? The comic will be a one-shot, so no worries on picking up an issue every month for the rest of 2016. It’ll set you back $3.99 for 32 pages of Sonic goodness, with cover art by Tyson Hesse, a script by Ian Flynn and interior art by Hesse, Jack Morelli and Matt Herms. The release date is set for June 6, which is just in time for any other Sonic-related news to pop up at E3. Thank you for watching. Don't forget to, Comment, Rate & Subscribe!
