Shelby Township police officer placed on administrative leave after fatally shooting man

A Shelby Township police officer has been placed on administrative leave after shooting and killing a man overnight, according to the police department.  Authorities say officers responded to a call of a stolen vehicle around 1:00 a.m. in the parking lot of Spring Hill Apartment Complex. The man in the stolen vehicle allegedly refused to cooperate with repeated police commands and told the officers he was armed.
