Assassin's Creed 3 PS3 Extended Frame Rate Test

Don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more retro frame rate tests. Assassin's Creed 3 on PS3 gives us a fun mixed bag of performance. The game targets an uncapped 30FPS, and is above and below it, with some margin. In simple scenes, the game runs stable, floating up to 34FPS. However, once in an area filled with a lot of geometry, and AI puts a stress on the CPU, we see performance drop quickly to the mid to low 20s. In a few instances, the game actually goes below 20FPS. Overall, Assassin's Creed 3's performance on the Playstation 3 could have been better, and shows Ubisoft's infamous lack of optimization.
