Research Retracted After Fake Review Scandal

BioMed Central, a publisher of academic research in medicine, biomedicine and biology, is the latest academic publisher to retract articles after discovering fraud. According to The Washington Post, the publisher withdrew its support from 43 articles after finding fake names and fake reviews from scientists who do not exist. The articles included research on hip dislocation, kidney disease and hormones.
