Toronto Distillery District Christmas Market Tour | Stranger Things Experience

Welcome to the Toronto’s most magical holiday destination Distillery District Winter Village 2025! The Distillery District in Toronto is one of Canada’s most historically rich and well-preserved heritage sites. Originally founded in 1832, the area was home to the Gooderham & Worts Distillery, which eventually became the largest distillery in the world by the late 19th century. For decades, it played a major role in Toronto’s industrial growth, producing spirits that were shipped across Canada and around the globe. After closing as an active distillery in the 1990s, the abandoned Victorian-industrial buildings were transformed into a vibrant cultural destination. In 2003, the Distillery District reopened as a pedestrian-only village filled with art studios, cafés, boutiques, galleries, and event spaces, while still preserving its iconic brick-lined streets and 19th-century architecture. Today, the Distillery District is known for its unique blend of history, culture, and creativity. It hosts major annual events, including the Winter Village / Christmas Market, which has become one of Toronto’s most beloved holiday traditions.
