AeroPress Recipe: The AeroTonic with Joe Cline

‪@joecline__‬ of @_socialvibes on Instagram takes us through how to make a delicious, refreshing AeroTonic beverage using an AeroPress coffee maker, courtesy of a recipe from 2016 US AeroPress Champion Ben Jones (@annotatedpress on Instagram). According to Ben, "The dense coffee and bitter tonic balance out. It's still bitter, but bitter like very dark chocolate. You can always add a little honey or simple syrup to it." Ben Jones' AeroTonic AeroPress Recipe: 19 grams coffee (1 1/2 AeroPress scoops), fine grind 100 grams water at 195-200 degrees F (90-93 degrees C) Stir vigorously for 20 seconds Press into sturdy glass filled with ice Gently pour in your favorite tonic Try equal parts coffee : tonic Garnish with a twist of lime, if you like Unlike a French press coffee maker, AeroPress coffee makers brew grit-free coffee and are easy to clean up. Unlike an espresso coffee machine, they are simple and easy to use. They can even be used as a cold brew coffee maker to make cold brew in just two minutes!
