My Acer Aspire One booting a fresh installed Windows XP. Pretty good preformance. Windows OK to use in 33 secs. Did this to speed it up: Upgraded Bios to 3309 Used complete harddisk for WindowsXP Automatic logon Memory management set to "system cache" Gui set to basic Disabled paging file Disable System Restore Disable services: Automatic Updates Background Intelligent Transfer Service ClipBook Error Reporting Service Fast User Switching Compatibility Indexing Service Messenger NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing Performance Logs and Alerts QoS RSVP Remote Desktop Help Session Manager Remote Registry Telnet Themes Upload Manager WebClient
