Sunrise hike, Mount Jefferson via The Caps Ridge Trail - New Hampshire

The Altidudes® were on the trail by 2:30 am with our headlamps, The Caps Ridge trail is a beast, multiple rock climbs and scrambles that lead to a huge boulder field that you need to cross before summiting. Got a little banged up from this one but as you can see, the pay off was more than worth it for #18 out of the 48. Mt. Jefferson is the 3rd highest mountain in New Hampshire (5,712 ft). It is named after the third president of the United States (Thomas Jefferson) and it is part of the presidential range of the White Mountains.
