I was watching The Last Of Us and was incredibly moved by episode 3 with Bill and Frank. And as a musician it was just amazing to see how the idea of playing the piano and the heartfelt musical performance was the thing that built this bridge between the two, it was just so powerful. Nick Offerman you magnificent bastard... And wow, Linda Ronstadt, what a song! I decided that I want to recreate this arrangement and I hope this is accurate enough. I did have to speed it up just a tiny bit because I wanted to package it into 1 minute so it can be shared in other mediums and in short form without sacrificing verses, it means there's just a tiny bit less room to "breathe" but it'll have to do. I have so many additional thoughts if I"m already fan-boying here... First of all, isn't it amazing that Frank was playing the "official" sheet music and yet it was in a different key and sounded like an upbeat dance song while Bill's version was so personal and "authentic" even though it was clearly not played from any sheets? Another weird thing - do you think any piano player would play just the first verse? It was such a neat little package - what he played and how he played it, it almost feels like he's showing off (yes, I know it's not really that, I'm just having fun here).
