International Women’s Day (IWD-2021) Celebrations

International Women’s Day(IWD-2021) Celebrations, jointly organised by Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) & ISRO Inertial Systems Unit(IISU), were held through digital platform on March 8, 2021. Hon. Governor of Kerala, Shri. Arif Mohammed Khan delivered the inaugural message. District Collector of Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Navjot Khosa IAS, delivered the special address. The women community of VSSC/IISU honoured Padmabhushan Smt.K.S.Chitra during the function. Shri.S.Somanath, Director, VSSC, presided over the function. Director,IISU, Associate Directors of VSSC, Deputy Director, VSSC(MSA) offered their felicitations. Dr.S.Geetha, Chairperson, IWD-2021 Celebrations welcomed the gathering. A host of competitions including Essay Writing, Elocution, Group Song, Group Dance, Skit and Rangoli were conducted based on this year's official theme "Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World". There was an exhibition of creative and technical achievements by women employees of VSSC/IISU. A blood donation camp was also organised in association with SCTIMST.
