Talarcharn is a coastal town in Carmerthenshire, South Wales, UK. The town is located on the estuary of the river Taf. One of the main features of the town is the castle which was originally established in the year 1116. The castle has a deep history which you can find more information about here https://cadw.gov.wales/visit/places-t.... The town is also famous for being the home of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas from 1949 until his death in 1953. It is believed to be the inspiration for the fictional town Llareggub in Under Milk Wood. In this video you can see the castle, estuary and Dylan Thomas’ family home and writing shed. This video was filmed in April 2023.
