We cannot separate divine revelation from the history of human beings. In fact, the Lord revealed Himself in the human history. Therefore, the Emmanuel Prophecy has been described in its original historical context in order to comprehend its theological significance for the people of Judah / the House of David. We believe that the OT prophecies have multiple fulfillments, that is, their fulfillment in the immediate historical context, and their final or eschatological fulfillment. We also believe that without losing its original message, a prophecy remains equally theologically significance for both the original recipients and for the believers today. In fact, the final fulfillment of the Emmanuel Prophecy serves as the foundation of the Christmas.
