Woman held at gunpoint in Chaguanas; car stolen and later recovered. • A woman identified as Leonita Bernard was held at gunpoint by two Spanish-speaking nationals on Eleanor Street on Thursday, December 4th. CCTV footage captured a hit and run accident along the southern main road in Couva on Saturday, 9th August, 2025. • The incident took place along the southbound lane of the Couva main road near Rienzi complex. • The suspect, driving a black Chevy registered PCZ 7480, struck the victim’s vehicle and kept driving towards the heliport.
