Best Roti in Northern Thailand + Tong Siam Hostel in Chiang Rai

This is for you who follow me on Instagram, this is what I get (what you get?) for RE-posting my own photos of this restaurant - you made me jealous of MYSELF eating this food... and I had to go back! Roti Pa Yai, in Chiang Rai town, serves some of the best roti I've ever had in Thailand (and also, honstely some pretty great beef curry). Just a local restaurant, full of kind, smiling women, just waiting to fry some of the best roti you could imagine. At Roti Ba Yai, a restaurant not too hard to find, in a wonderful Muslim community near downtown Chiang Rai, I promise you that I am already waiting for the next chance that I can go to have another meal... Great to travel with my good friend Peam, and so cool staying at the amazing Tong Siam Hostel in Chiang Rai. The place is nice enough already for a stay on any trip, BUT absolutely PERFECT as a starting point for a Northern Thai cycling trip. For local exploring in the area - overall - Tong Siam is definitely the best hostel experience I have ever had. Highly recommend it. Don't forget - Stay tuned for part 2, which includes one of the toughest mountain climbs I have ever done (Doi Chang, Front-side), and some insanely tasty Chinese food we found in the mountains of central Chiang Rai... cheers!
