This is the first of audience encouraged videos. I was asked to explain some fundamental footwork drills that JSK uses for it's tactical fighting and self defense training. To keep it short here, I am demonstrating two of 4 essential footwork skills people need to be effective in self defense. The Swing Step & Bump are Two fantastic footwork techniques I feel are absolutely essential for self defense. In the next video, I will discuss the Fade & Follow and the J Step. These are two of the essential 4 that every self defense practitioner needs to know. Especially if you are going to be dealing with multiple attackers, weapons and various terrains are involved.
