Harvest Moon: Back To Nature (also known as Bokujō Monogatari Harvest Moon, 牧場物語 ハーベストムーン) is a Farming Simulation (Role Playing) Video Game within the Harvest Moon (now Story of Seasons) Video Game Series. It was released on December 16, 1999 for Sony PlayStation (PlayStation 1) Console. Harvest Moon: Back To Nature (HMBTN) was re-released in 2007 for Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) known as Harvest Moon Boy & Girl (牧場物語ハーベストムーン ボーイ＆ガール, Bokujō Monogatari: Harvest Moon Boy and Girl). The main goal is to achieve respect and trust from the citizens of Mineral Town (Villagers) within three years. The story begins with The Mayor welcoming the main character to The Farm and starts talking about the past. The Flashback started with the main character still a young boy on a vacation in his grandfather's farm. The boy then met a girl and promised that he will back to the farm someday. The story continues on Year 1 Spring 2, which in the morning The Mayor will escort the main character around the village (if we choose to do so). After that, we can start to grow the farm by doing daily activities like farming (agriculture and livestock), mining, fishing, and interacting with the villagers. If one of the girls in the village loves you, you can propose to her and start a family. Married, and have a son. Of course after you upgraded the house (twice). In order to achieve high percentage of the game completion, we must also upgrade the other buildings in our farm which are chicken coop, barn, and build a hothouse. NOSTALGIA... I started my first Harvest Moon: Back to Nature game back when I was a kid back in 2002, playing with my PlayStation 1 and a CRT TV. As a kid, I learned a lot from playing this game, such as Time Management, Business, Planning, People Skill, Patience, Taking Care of Animals, etc. Now, while I reminisce the good old days, I want to share the journey and joyful of playing this game with the world.
