Southeast District Homicide Investigation

Update: Identities Sought in reference to the below murder investigation Southeast District Homicide Investigation On December 18, 2017 at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Eastern Avenue for an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, officers found 43 year-old James Forrester from Ransom, West Virginia, being tended to by Baltimore City Medics. Forrester was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died a short time later. Homicide detectives responded out and assumed control of the investigation. Forrester’s remains were then transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy was performed on the morning of December 19, 2017. Doctors who performed the autopsy discovered a single gunshot wound to the chest of James Forrester, and concluded that he died as a result of being shot. Detectives are attempting to locate witnesses and view video footage with hopes of identifying a suspect(s).
