I hadn't played tenor in months (maybe a year!) and needed to warm up and get familiar with the reed/mouthpiece and adjust to the tenor embouchure . I played through it once and thought that this would be a great exercise to share on YouTube. This is the second time through it and I'd only been warming up for a few minutes so please excuse the mistakes and sloppy parts. The Keliwerth has different altissimo fingerings then the Cannonball alto I play most of the time and I've sort of forgotten them. If you have Smart Music the exercise is; Exercises ..Jazz... Blues 12bars eighth notes -1 (7050) Be sure to turn on "My Part" and set it to loop After it's memorized play it without looking and be sure all your notes are in tune then improvise in and out of the written line. When you have all the keys memorized set the loop to go up a half step (or down) each repeat.
