Today’s video includes ten actionable tips that have helped me to create the loose watercolor portraits I adore to paint! I explain everything from choosing a color palette to brush selection, to angling the watercolor paper to prevent blooms and drying lines. I cover the different consistencies of paint, from tea through butter and the different stages where each is used, as well as represent the reasons for increasing or decreasing the pigmentation in certain important areas of the watercolor portrait. I also go into how I use digital devices to improve my understanding of what I’m looking at when choosing colors and hues and saturation when using a photo reference. All of these tips are provided organically as they normally are used by me when I complete each of my loose watercolor portraits, either for commission or person enjoyment! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you’ll return again soon for more watercolor portrait conversation, advice and painting tutorials!! Much love, Temmah!!! #watercolorportrait #watercolortutorial #realisticwatercolor
