First Test Day of the season at Hampton Downs in my Swift DB4 today. By no means a perfect sequence of laps in any respect but still some solid times once it's all said and done. The big win of the day is that despite the hot conditions and rusty driving, the car is generally cornering the best it ever has and this would suggest I have engineered a lot more pace into the car. Whilst I say engineered, the big difference has been going from a locker style diff to a clutch pack diff which has made the corners a lot more entertaining. I have gained a few MPH on most of the corners but I kept stuffing up turn 2 which is why there were no gains there. Below I have put my speeds and I have also chucked in the min and max speeds for a TRS car doing a 59 second lap. It would be interesting to see how much faster the car could now go with new tyres, a cool track and a less rusty driver that has tweaked the shifter so it doesn't pop into neutral on the downchanges.....
