Afghanistan on Feb 26 attacked Pakistan military positions along the border calling it retaliation for Pakistani airstrikes reported Reuters. Earlier on Feb 20 Pakistan had launched multiple attacks on Afghanistan soil reportedly killing dozens and injuring locals. Pakistan had then claimed that the attacks were to target militants operating from its neighbor's territory. Shortly after the attack, Taliban warned it would make an "appropriate and measured response" to airstrikes. In retaliation to today’s attack, the Information Ministry in Islamabad said that Pakistan was responding to "unprovoked fire" by Afghan forces. Reuters quoting Pak Forces wrote that Afghan forces opened fire on posts in Pakistan's mountainous northwest, sparking more than 2 hours of fighting. The recent clashes along the 2,600-km (1,615-mile) are a flare-up to threaten a fragile ceasefire following deadly clashes in October. #AfghanistanPakistanConflict #PakistanBorderAttack #TTPAttack #CrossBorderFiring #PakistanSecurityAlert #PakArmy #AfghanForces #BorderTension #DefenseNews #RegionalConflict #SecurityUpdate #PakistanNews #AfghanistanUpdates #KhyberPakhtunkhwa #PeaceAndSecurity #CounterTerrorOperations #BorderClash #LatestBreakingNews Join ANI's YouTube membership to get access to perks: / @aninewsindia Subscribe now and press the bell icon 🔔 to get new video updates: https://bit.ly/2UV4ygi -------------------------------------- ANI is South Asia's leading Multimedia News Agency providing content for every information platform, including TV, Internet, broadband, newspapers, and mobiles.
