Lemon and Lavender – Shimon Hoshino 🎼 Title Lemon and Lavender 📝 Profile In my garden, lemon and lavender started blooming side by side. It looked as if they had planned it— but of course, they hadn’t. Each just bloomed on its own, without permission, without coordination. And still, there was harmony. A color combination that no human could have arranged so perfectly. This piece is my attempt to create a sound that gently overlaps with that kind of unintentional beauty. 🌿 Scent Composition – Fragrance Inspired Top Note – Lemon Peel & Bergamot (35%) Bright, slightly sharp— like sunlight captured in a slice of fruit. Middle Note – French Lavender & Rosemary (40%) Soft purple with a hint of herbal depth. A layered breeze, calm and clear. Base Note – Cedarwood & Dry Herb Shadow (25%) A quiet, earthy base— like leaves that have rested near wood for a while. A fragrance for harmony that wasn’t planned. ✨ Concept This piece began with a simple moment— the sight of two very different things blooming beautifully, side by side, without effort. Sometimes the world offers forms so balanced, so quietly perfect, without anyone trying to design them. When that happens, all we can do is pause, and try to stay close to that stillness. This piece was made to rest beside it, not to replicate, but to accompany. 🌤 Environmental Conditions Temperature: 16.7°C Wind: 1.8 m/s (Southeast) Weather: Afternoon light shifting with soft shadows Humidity: 62% Time: 3:10 PM 🎵 Sound Concept This piece was created using only piano. I tried to hold both brightness and softness— the sharpness of lemon, and the calm of lavender. Rather than impose structure, I focused on timing, space, and the way notes can accidentally align. 🖼 Artwork Note This artwork is based on the beauty of blooming without intention. Yellow and purple— colors that could easily clash, but here, they don’t. Neither dominates. Neither fades. They simply coexist, just as they appeared in the garden. This is a quiet attempt to draw something that only nature can do without trying. 🎧 Headphone Recommended Please listen at a low volume. Headphones or speakers—either is fine. This music is meant to blend with whatever is already blooming in your space. The breeze, paper moving, sunlight shifting in the room— all of it is part of the sound. If today you need distance from the world, choose the volume you need. But I still believe: listening to nature is already the beginning of creation. 💬 Comment from Shimon Hoshino In my garden, lemon and lavender were blooming— right next to each other, without a plan, and somehow, perfectly. It was a beauty that no person could create. But I wondered— maybe I could write something that softly sits beside it. That became this piece.
