This time we have an old recording and original capbadges relating to the thirty one regular cavalry regiments, as existed in 1914. The cap badges are all originals of the period from my collection. The recording is a 78rpm shellac disc on "The Winner" label no.2708 - "British Army Cavalry Regimental Calls". The bugle playing is outstanding, and the calls are ripped out in the style of that time, and of course, all recorded in one take! These calls were sounded prior to an executive bugle call thereby indicating which regiment was to respond. The record label credits one Trumpeter Anderson as the bugler, recorded on September 15th 1914
