Batman: Arkham City Episode 7: The Demon Trials - The episode begins with Batman cracking yet another of Riddler’s sadistic puzzles—rescuing a terrified hostage trapped in one of his increasingly dangerous death rooms. Every clue brings Batman closer to uncovering Riddler’s twisted network, but time is something Batman no longer has. With the tracker placed on the assassin in the previous episode, he follows the signal through the underbelly of Arkham City. His pursuit leads him deep into the sewers, where Joker’s thugs—now more aggressive and better armed—have fortified the tunnels. Batman carves his way through them with brutal precision, pushing forward until he uncovers the long-lost Wonder City, a decaying remnant of Gotham’s steampunk past. The city is haunted by broken automatons and eerie silence, broken only by the sudden strike of League assassins who descend upon him in coordinated ambushes. Barely holding on, Batman uses data from the crumbling robots scattered around Wonder City to unlock a massive gate. On the brink of death, he collapses—only to be found by Talia al Ghul, who offers him a second chance. She brings him into the heart of the League of Assassins and presents him with the Lazarus-infused blood of the Demon. With no other options, Batman drinks—and strength surges back into his fading body. Rejuvenated but still walking a razor’s edge, he now must face the ancient Demon Trials to prove himself worthy. The trials take him through a surreal, dreamlike gauntlet, flying over lava-filled caverns and testing both his physical skill and mental resolve.
