At the beginning of his storyline, Jake Muller, the illegitimate son of the main antagonist of the previous game, Albert Wesker, serves as a mercenary soldier. His next employer is the rebels of Edonia, a fictional Eastern European country.Neo-Umbrella gives the rebels syringes with the K-virus that turns people into dangerous J'avo mutants, claiming that these are combat stimulants, and thus conducts field testing of his new bioweapon.
