DEVINE, TEXAS — Homecoming queen and star athlete Alyssa Ramirez was killed on the night of her prom when her car got stuck in a flood on a rural country road in Devine, Texas. Ramirez, 18, was driving the nearly 35 miles back home from San Antonio when her car broke down and she was tragically swept away by a flash flood. She reportedly called her father and 911 while she was stuck in her car, but the water was rising too fast for anyone to rescue her. She was found dead not far from her car the next morning. Her fellow students grieved at a vigil held for Ramirez on Sunday at Devine High School. ----------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
