Kerry welcomes EU statement on Syria

The European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton has said the world cannot remain idle and must take strong action to prevent any future use of chemical weapons in Syria. The message received a warm welcome from US Secretary of State John Kerry, as he embarked on a busy round of shuttle diplomacy to drum up support for a military strike against Syria.
