#toyota #hilux #pickup One of the world’s most popular pick up trucks has just entered its new generation; the Toyota Hilux! I checked out the 9th generation model for its European Premiere at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show. The Hilux is known for its reliability and most importantly capability, with a strong 1 tonne payload (715KG) and ready to off-road either plenty of ground clearance and 4WD. Toyota have clearly taken inspiration from the all-new RAV4, which isn’t a bad thing at all, the smart honeycomb grille looks sharp as do the sleeker LED headlights. Both an EV and a MHEV will be offered, electrifying the pickup. This comes as competitors such as Ford have brought the Ranger PHEV and Isuzu the D-MAX EV due soon.
