This month we are taking a deeper dive on five key issues at the heart of Christian faith. Using familiar and less familiar Old Testament stories, we are exploring these “heart and soul” matters and how they impact daily life.This weekend our focus is on Sovereignty. In Ezekiel, God uses the image of a tree to describe how God shapes our life and faith. “I will accomplish it!” In Matthew 21, the religious leaders question Jesus’ authority to heal and to cleanse the Temple. In a time when authority is often questioned, God’s promise of sovereignty is both challenging and comforting. What does it mean that God rules over us and all of creation?
